Mark and Tamara Street
Mark has had a passion for physical activity for much of his life. In his early years, Mark played tennis at a competitive level, and was under the stewardship of Pat Rafter for a brief period. Mark also made national level for long jump.
Mark's enthusiasm for sport has continued into his adult life. He was an active rower for several years and won gold at a Queensland Rowing Championship. He also enjoys cycling and has participated on several occasions in the Brisbane to Gold Coast annual cycling event.
Being a dad, Mark has gleaned substantial insight into the physical and mental aspects of child development and has a strong desire in assisting young children in creating the foundations for a healthy lifestyle.
Mark possess a Masters degree, as well as Bachelors degree in Science and Aviation and has successfully started a number of businesses. Mark has a black belt in Taekwondo.
Mark is currently studying Medicine.
Tamara has over 20 years of experience working in the health and wellness industry. In her early years as a Gymnastics coach, Tamara discovered her passion for helping kids find happiness and good health through physical activity. With the goal of extending her reach to help more families, Tamara moved onto to become a qualified and registered Psychologist, as well as an advanced Level 3 Exercise Professional.
Tamara has supported many people at an individual level on their health journey through her health coaching and at a community level through her wellness research. She has advanced health promotion through presenting her research in many scientific journals and international conferences.
Tamara was awarded the Wesley Research Institute's prestigious 'Scientific Research of the Year' in 2014 in acknowledgement of her contributions to health research.
As an athlete, Tamara has won several junior state and national championships in sports acrobatics and has a black belt in Taekwondo.
Tamara possesses a PhD in Pschology, as well as Certificate IV in Fitness.
